Straight Stair Geometry — Privacy Policy
Scope
This policy covers the free offline release of Straight Stair Geometry, published by Barchinet Inc. (Android package com.barchinet.stairgeometry). It does not cover separately labelled .adstest development builds, which are not this release. Last updated: October 29, 2026.
Information used on your device
The app processes the measurements, options, prices (where available), and project names you enter to calculate results. Last-used values and up to three named projects are saved in app-local WebView storage on your device. There is no account, Barchinet server synchronization, analytics, advertising SDK, advertising identifier access, or automatic transmission of this information in this offline release.
Collection and sharing
The offline Android app has no Internet permission and does not collect or share your app data with Barchinet Inc. or advertising/analytics services. It does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, location, or general photo/file library. No information is sold by this app.
Reports and destinations you choose
PDF and PNG reports are generated on the device only when you ask. Android presents a document picker so you can choose a destination. That destination may be a local folder or a cloud-connected document provider. The selected provider handles the saved copy under its own terms. Reports can contain entered measurements, project names, quantities and prices. The app does not automatically upload reports, email them, or share them with other apps. Anyone you give a report to, or another app with access to its location, may read it.
Android backup and device transfer
This release sets allowBackup=false and fullBackupContent=false and excludes app data from both cloud backup and device transfer through Android data-extraction rules. The app does not provide its own backup or automatic device-to-device synchronization. Operating-system and manufacturer behavior can vary; do not rely on automatic backup to preserve projects. Files you export are outside app-local storage and may be backed up or synchronized by their selected destination provider.
Keeping and deleting local data
App-local values and projects remain until you change or delete them using the app, or remove app data through Android settings or uninstall the app. Deleting app-local data does not delete reports you previously exported. Delete those files at their saved destinations. Reports are reference documents, not an import/restore backup of editable projects. The app provides no Barchinet account to create or delete.
Support email
If you choose to email farbodjavan@barchinet.com using your email service, Barchinet Inc. receives your email address, message and attachments you choose to send. These are used to respond to and troubleshoot your request, and retained as needed for support and applicable recordkeeping. This communication is separate from the app: no support email is sent automatically. Your email provider processes that communication under its own terms. Do not send information you do not want included. You can contact the same address about access or deletion of support correspondence.
Children
The app is a general measurement and planning tool and is not designed specifically for children. It does not ask users to provide age or identifying information within the app. Contact us if you have a concern about information sent to support.
Security and changes
The app limits processing to local storage and user-requested exports. Device access controls, the security of your device and the destinations you choose affect who can access your saved information. We may update this policy when the app changes; the updated policy will identify its revision date.
